Four series wins out of their last five and it would be five straight series wins if they didn’t have that bad bottom of the tenth against the Giants.
Ugly win… but still a series win. Pt still has a heartbeat… and now they get to face the future dynasty of the AL… a series win there would go a long way.
I agree but it would have been nice to have him available tomorrow. We are relying on Montero tomorrow if it’s close I guess.
Can't get too greedy with sweeps even though it was the worst team record wise. Another series win is all you can really ask for.
Worry about tomorrow…. Tomorrow. If they had a 5 game lead, they’d be allowed to think about such luxury-type moves… they do not. Abreu has had some easier (more efficient) innings the last couple of days. Same for Hader. Not unreasonable that one (or both) could go 3 straight. I think pitching multiple innings/game may be tougher for any of them than possibly a 3rd appearance.
Astros gain another game on Seattluck -- 8 back. Bullpen was awesome. Offense did well enough. Shock the the world and take 2 of 3 vs Baltimore. .
We may… or they get blown out in the first inning with a rookie making his debut… or the team gets real motivated going against the future version of them and the offense explodes. And he’s thrown 10 and 14 pitches the last 2 games, without anybody on base. This is far easier than some of the outings where he went multiple innings or threw 25-30 pitches in one inning. But yes, I will be both overjoyed and fully anxious if the biggest issue they have tomorrow is figuring out how to navigate a save situation against a powerful team.
Bullpen represented the past two days. Pressly even chimed in without buttocks pain. Astros *slowly* doing better overall as a team. .
First time this Season Josh Harder has Two Saves. Either lacks of Runs or Bullpen blowing Games. Finally Two Saves in One Series.
Pretty bold to be calling a team that has been reluctant to spend money a future dynasty, especially considering the Yankees are in their division. I don’t think this is going to happen to them but it wasn’t long ago the White Sox were supposed to be a team of the future…
Their ownership situation being in flux has probably led to some of the financial decisions… but they’re stacked. Both for now and with the future prospects they can either promote or trade for win now pieces. As we know, still need a lot of luck involved to win titles…. But theres no expectation that they won’t be in the playoffs nearly every year during their core years (and in baseball, making the playoffs every year is as close as you can get to a dynasty… till you are truly winning it all).
I agree with you…never said not to use him. All I said was it would be nice to score multiple runs off a bad reliever.
