Ingram was nowhere near the offensive player at age 21 that Sengun is now. Even if I believed Ingram could stay healthy, I'd still rather gamble on Sengun being better in the long term. We know what Ingram is--and that's not a #1 option. We also know he has never played a full NBA season dating all the way back to his second year in the league, and many years he doesn't even come close. The injury history is a major, major problem.

Can't help but wonder why the Rockets would even leak this via Kelly, if not to let the world know "make much better offers for the guy".

One of the underrated bits of D'Antoni's tenure is that since he was out of coaching for a while, he couldn't bring in tons of old dudes from his old teams.

Lazy coaching by Ime if he brings in his boys because it's "easy".

I like EG but he wanted to leave so badly. Just draft Reed Shepard and let’s move on.

I just know Stone is going to do something stupid. I don't know for sure what it's going to be, but I'm absolutely certain a bunch of us are going to be pissed off about something very soon!

I don’t like Smart much. It did seem though that he shot better anytime the stakes were higher.

I’d not be pleased by #3 for Smart and #9. I’d need a future first to make me hate it less. But would still be angry. If Smart comes in Brooks HAS to go.

I like Ingram BUT can’t sub him for Brooks.

    3 way?

    Brooks+Tate+#9 to NOP
    Smart+Ingram to Houston
    #3+Landale+Uncle Jeff to Memphis

    Sengun/Adams
    Smith/Tari
    Ingram/Amen
    Green/Cam
    FVV/Smart

He’s already 30 and will be taking playing time away from our young guys that need developing. He’s also not a good shooter. I don’t like that move either.

Right now the only team the Rockets need to talk to about trading down is the Hornets for #6. Unless of course they can jack Portland for numbers 7 and 14. Either way they have to get ahead of SA because they will snatch up Devin Carter at #8.

Not aimed at you but just the sentiment of teams communicating through leaks in general....

But i never understood the notion of communicating through the media with other teams. If the Rockets want certain value for a certain player or asset, couldnt they just tell interested teams that directly?

I get it when it comes to draft strategy, but i dont get it in regards to player trades.

If the Rockets did want this leaked for some reason guess would be for draft purposes to get teams to believe Clingan is their guy if he's there.

The problem, looking at Charlotte...I'm not sure I'd want anything besides that 6th pick....They don't have a pick next year and they have their main guys (Ball, Williams, and Miller), but beyond that...again, nothing I'd want.

Do you blame him? That Silas era was a flaming dumpster fire.

He turned me off after watching him in the playoffs. Showed low iq by trying to move Lu Dort instead of shooting over him. Lu Dort totally shut him down and he GAVE UP. HE QUIT.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I scrolled down and saw your post--lol.

As I look at the line-ups, the first team has a lot of offense and not much defense. The 2nd team has some tough defenders, but not a lot of shooting. The question is would Ime and Stone think these moves make as strong enough to contend?
