didn't know ewoks was supposed to be wookies. i loved the ewoks and rotj was my favorite of the originals largely because of it. that said, having wookies in its stead would be epical. still not as badass as revenge of the sith tho. had air flips and spinny glow sticks.

Turns out when things are good, it doesn't matter... just like it never did before. If your goal is to make quality art, it'll be obvious when looking at the finished product. If your goal is to be preachy about some ideological nonsense... that'll be obvious when looking at the finished product too.
Its not preachy. Disney has largely turned into a corporation who tries to represent minorities. They give minorities (granted on the fringe side) a chance to create what they consider great art. The reality is the market for this type of art is pretty small in the grand scheme. Its a bit deceptive because people are sold this is part of the Star Wars lore. Generally when a product gets turned over to a minority group, the product is on its way out the door. This is why Christian based art (movies, TV shows, music, ect ...) does very poorly. The demand for it is very low.
From what I've seen, there's an effort to push "the message" over any attempt to actually create great art....or rather, to extremists, they view art as merely another medium to push "the message" and that's the case no matter which extremists we're talking about.
Generally speaking . . . I know some folx are mad because folx are minorities But as stated above , , ,generally they want to put minorities in their lesser projects Projects that dont have the A TEAM of Writers/directors/actors/etc Then when it fails .. . the minorities are blamed and not the half ass effort of the studio Is this one as bad or worse than others. . . . probably not I found Book of Boba atrocious Lil Leia in Obiwon was annoying and the overall series suffered in general I don't get so mad at the changes . . .. well some . . . like Vader going from the ultimate to a ham and egger would annoy me People getting stabbed with lazer swords and surviving is crazy Star War's tech and fashion not changing for centuries is just dumb I have watched most of the stuff and nothing about any of them can tell you want century or time frame they in and Yoda and baby Yoda and Osha and Obiwon and Anikan at 9 and anikan at age 20 . . .. no real way to tell anything different in the world they built that's just f*cking lazy Rocket River
They aren’t qualifying the writers and directors based on merit but this starts at the very top and if Disney keeps Kathleen Kennedy then Star Wars would be reduced to another bad CW level science fiction show @ROXRAN @Salvy also noticed how they can’t make a blade movie. The main reason is they want a female first story. you can read all the articles of the script being about blade’s daughter @Salvy

I just waded through this entire thread and can’t believe that nobody has criticized the decision to name the main character Osha. Osha as in OSHA I half expected her twin sister’s name to be Sox or Nasa.
A quick break from insecure men crying about female leads. I enjoyed the last episode. It looks like the show is finally picking up steam. This is why I try not to judge a show in the first few episodes.
We wouldn't need woke sci-fi tv show with female leads if the wokies didn't promote Gordon Ramsey, Jaime Oliver and Guy Fieri
