    First time we have heard of any potential prospect having alignment amongst 2 of Udoka/FO/Ownership. Thus far, this is the most concrete reporting on the Rockets preference at #3, hence why it deserves its own thread

    Is this the first we’re hearing about the FO and Tilman actually saying things.

    This news seems planted…

    As of two days ago, @Clutch reported they remain quiet. And as a clearinghouse of info, Clutch’s reporting on his Playback channel includes reporting from other notable accounts, like espn, not just what he’s hearing.

    And what does Jeremy Woo mean by “demonstrated”? Seems like a specific word versus more commonly “the Rockets reportedly have serious interest”

    does the paywall article mentioned how they have “demonstrated” serious interest?

    Either way, good.

    We knew a few years back that they were locked in on Jalen over Mobley, Barnes, Suggs and a couple years ago that Paolo was to be the pick if/when he fell to us at 3 until the Magic pulled the rug out from under everyone and took him over Bari. Last year Amen was the clear consensus and nothing really swayed them away from that projection.

    I'd like for them to take Reed but if this is all a smoke screen to have someone attempt to jump up and take him for more assets I'm fine with that too. I feel like it's the former really but we'll see next week.
