I’m surprised to see people thinking Tatum is the MVP. Now I have watched a grant total of 4 total quarters of the finals, but last night Tatum almost gave the game away down the stretch with awful shots from the outside. I don’t doubt his defensive presence but It was Brown that made the big shots to close the game out.
Luka ain't washing this off him until he wins a ring. Even tho as a 5th seed making it outta West is always remarkable, his performance will be remembered by awful defense and constant crying.
To be fair, Brown is a different player and more worthy of his contract. He's bigger and stronger and still as athletic. He's a better defender and he's a better ball handler. It'd be nice to know if Green is the type of person to keep working after getting paid.
I low key defended Mazzulla on the Dish back in the day. He was a good get; Brad's guy was there before Ime and there after. When Ime was first suspended, and there was a talk of a replacement coach. Normally a new coach fully replace all the assistants. Will Hardy was already gone. I thought maybe Mazzulla could be had by the Rockets, since it was obvious Silas had already ran his course here. Had more faith in Joe than lot of the Celtic's fan base and local media. But Brad locked Joe up. As far as the finals....probably heard some this already... Mazulla be showing videos of Killer Whales hunting, and how UFC fighters are before they get chocked out. They call him the lovable psycho. Whatever he's doing, it's working right now.
BTW, the Celtics could win their 18th championship in their 18th playoff game 18 days after Jerry West's birthday, who went 1-8 in the Finals and died 18 days before Joe Mazzulla's 36th birthday.
