If you don't think Jrue is having a very positive impact on this series.. I don't know what to tell you.
It’s somewhat depressing to see how Boston is demolishing the Mavs after the Mavs demolished the Twolves.
They upgraded the good team he had to a great team. Marcus Smart — Payton Pritchard Jaylen Brown — Derrick White — Nik Stauskas Jayson Tatum — Aaron Nesmith — Sam Hauser Al Horford — Grant Williams — Malik Fitts — Juwan Morgan Robert Williams — Daniel Theis — Luke Kornet Jrue Holiday — Payton Pritchard Derrick White — Jaden Springer — JD Davison Jaylen Brown — Sam Hauser — Oshae Brissett — Svi Mykhailiuk — Jordan Walsh Jayson Tatum — Xavier Tillman Sr. — Drew Peterson Kristaps Porzingis — Al Horford — Luke Kornet — Neemias Queta •Traded Danilo Gallinari, Mike Muscala & Julian Phillips to Washington for Kristaps Porzingis •Traded Marcus Smart to Memphis for Marcus Sasser & 2024 1st round pick (Memphis traded Tyus Jones to Washington) •S&T Grant Williams to Dallas for 2024/2025/2030 2nd round picks •Traded Malcolm Brogdon, Robert Williams & 2024/2029 1st round picks to Portland for Jrue Holiday Got rid of the two bigs, inserted a shooter, upgraded from Smart to Holiday.
Luke and his lack of conditioning will keep him for playing long enough to do that he really needs to get his diet right to have a long career. It seems like he is going to have nagging injuries to make him miss games here and there and look he has been injured much of these playoffs.
I think some people just stay on their weight drinking water but who knows what he has been drinking and eating....
I can't believe some are saying Dallas was reffed poorly. Luka coulda fouled out 3 times last night, especially if you consider the offensive fouls that should have been called.
It wouldn't be right for the FMVP to be decided by something that happens in G4 of a sweep. Unless there are some advanced analytics that show Tatum had the bigger impact, Brown played the best in the biggest games and should get the award.
It's always much easier for brown to play better because he's not the focus of the defense. The best player is what makes the team work the way it works. Remember that asinine 2015 FMVP? While this wouldn't be THAT absurd, it would still be stupid.
I thought Dallas was more focused on Brown and Jrue defensively last night especially in the first half. Hence why Tatum was cooking with ease.
