It's interesting that this is deemed a bad draft but I can still see some guys that I find intriguing that may be there at 44. I'm so excited for the draft! I will say that all things being equal, I'd prefer if they draft and stash this pick if they take it. I'm still acting under the assumption that we take a 1st round pick whether it be the #3 pick or we trade back, and 7 young guys is plenty.
Still holding out hope for Edey at number 3, but if he were to have a “Cam” drop and somehow be available in the second round, then the Rockets better trade the 44 pick to move up a few spots.
Rockets could use a hometown hero like shed will bring that defense intensity that we desperately lack that alone if worth the 44th pick.
If we make this pick a guy that is a lotto talent that may fall to the 2nd round is Terrence Shannon. Now cleared of the allegations I think he could go in the 1st but who knows. He’s one of the most underrated prospects in this draft. 2-way wing with length and shooting. Great player.
With 2 weeks left in the draft process he is about to rocket his way up right outside of the lottery.
Ulrich Chomche, with only about 5-6 years of basketball experience, is extremely raw. But with just a little bit of NBA professional refinement he can become like a Clint Capela with a 3 point shot. He has absolutely outstanding lateral quickness!! NO GUARD SHALL PASS!!!
