Framber - trade him along with Montero or Abreu contract for young single A talent. Don't care. Breggy - Dodgers could use a 3B. Couldn’t give a **** where he goes as long as we get a good talents in return for him. Pressly - he’ll be a great closer for another team. Definitely not a setup man. JV - let him go chase his 300 elsewhere. Won’t happen here unfortunately. Tucker - ask for an arm and a leg or no trade till next off-season.
Chas went 3-10 and has seen the pine two days in a row I know he has been terrible, but it's hard to see us reach our potential without him getting back to production. I really wish he had kept him in the lineup to see if we can really get him going, but big Joe has to make sure he gets Abreu and the strikeout dudes in there
Looks like it’s bad Framber today. Maybe one day we’ll get a little dose of Inbetween Framber, but I’m not holding my breath
Of our current choices, I agree 100% And I know the forum is high on Jon and I disagree with 95% on it but... The problem with Jon is...there was a poster earlier today that was talking about how good of an at bat he gives you, he walks and doesn't give in. Then Snake added how much power he has... And yet he still has a 653 OPS, and the sample size isn't tiny. That's ok for a bat off the bench, especially if the player with it can give you some position versatility. But unfortunately, he can't. And as an everyday 1B, that would be a HUGE HUGE HUGE improvement over Abreu, so i'm 100% down since little Joe ain't playing anyone other than those two over there But in reality, if we ain't gonna give Loper a shot at it, we need to acquire a 1B. It's hard to imagine this team going on the kind of run it has to go on at this point with that kind of production at 1B. Of course it's WAY harder to imagine it with Abreu over there
Very doable if we get relative health, and management stops mis-managing. Prepare for today's comeback.
For those who know way more about him than me...Snake? Whoever else Is Cabbage a good OF defensively? He has made a couple of catches today that looked really awkward? If he is better defensively at 1B, I have an idea......
Sure. But as of right now he starts Abreu almost every game at 1B. When he plays singleton and Abreu, it’s clear who he thinks is better. So why keep starting Abreu? Total trash management.
Comeback today will not instantly transform this team into a .640 club. I like the optimism, and there is no price to pay for it if we keep sucking. However, it can’t be rooted in any kind of reality right now.
His batting average doesn’t support this statement, but if feels like Caratini produces at the plate every time I’m watching
