Jake is for sure catching that last one. This team is about to be 7 games under in mid June and they are still ****ing around running Abreu out there. Jake not playing today is a direct result of that. It makes sense to want to get Singleton in there after a good game yesterday, so it forces Yordan to LF because of Abreu. It’s truly unbelievable.
Framber was in suck-mode -- good decision by Espada for removing him after 4 innings (perhaps should've been earlier) and bringing in multi Martinez. Webb is pitching well, but the Astros offense is handcuffed without Tucker and with Abreu in the lineup. We're not giving ourselves the best chance to win with what we have. Dubon's arm doesn't help him catch flyballs that Meyers would get to. Handcuffed. Opponents, rejoice. Still enough time to win today, but it looks bleak.
Large ballpark with quirky angles. You’d think the best managerial decision would be to put your best outfielders out there. I get that framber was pitching but still it’s a win or lose the series game.
Espada is stupid. I cannot believe how bad that hire was. So happy Dusty is gone but we should’ve hired an experienced manager who isn’t a complete simp.
