No, it’s bc Dillingham hasn’t yet met the combine testing requirements for being invited. see @J.R. ’s post a couple posts before yours
Zaccharie is the right answer. It happens a lot most Rockets fans want R.Sheppard, usually he will picked the pick before like Paolo Bendero
(27:50) Another mock by Sam and Bryce. Surprise (or not), they have Reed #3 for Houston (over Risacher, Sarr & Clingan went 1 and 2). The mock in general was pretty interesting. If I understood right, they also said not to move the #3 (or the core guys) unless you get a star player (All-NBA). I assume that means don't trade down (unless a crazy offer). I know people gave them crap for the Tari/Bridges thing, but I think people missed that they actually wouldn't do that deal if they were Houston. They were just spitballing mostly with that (and maybe going along with the idea that HOU is desperate to win now). I generally share their opinions I think.
I don't know what's going on in France but the three most solid players to draft seem to be Risacher, Sarr and Salaun They all look like a sure thing Reed could be good but he could be a fkn bust I have no idea
Dillingham's percentage on NBA 3's is a little concerning but I'm sure he'll figure it out eventually. Could make for an inconsistent rookie season though if he has trouble adjusting to the deeper 3's in the NBA
7, 14, Simons for 3? Portland, I have been authorized by @Clutch to sign on behalf of Rafael Stone. Please DM me in the email box in the upper right hand corner.
I think this is absolute BS, but I sure hope the Spurs spend all kind of assets to get him. I call this the Wemby effect. All of sudden all these guys that play in the French league are being over valued. I really think the Spurs want Clingan, Topic, and Sheppard and hope to get one of Clingan or Sheppard at 4 and Topic at 8.
BR 1. Atlanta Hawks: Zaccharie Risacher 2. Washington Wizards: Alex Sarr (“Teams and agents believe that if the Atlanta Hawks don't draft Alex Sarr, the Washington Wizards will take him at No. 2. He's expected to work out for the Wizards in the near future.”) 3. Houston Rockets: Reed Sheppard (“Rival teams say No. 3 is for sale. There isn't much room on the Houston Rockets' roster for another young project, and the team plans to exit the rebuilding stage for a run up the standings. Adding another veteran or even a future pick in a perceived better draft may sound more appealing to Houston than No. 3 in 2024. We're also hearing some reluctance from rival teams about giving up assets to move up that high, when the difference between No. 3 and late-lottery feels minimal. As intriguing as Donovan Clingan is for a defense-needy roster, we haven't heard teams think of him as a savior. If the Rockets stick, they should love what Reed Sheppard brings to their rotation: elite shooting, passing and intangibles/character that scouts and executives praised after interviewing him at the NBA combine. For Sheppard, an undersized 2 who's more limited off the dribble, Amen Thompson would also be the ideal backcourt partner with his creation/playmaking and ability to defend bigger guards. And Sheppard feels perfect for Thompson with his ability to stretch the floor and create space for a limited shooter and shifty ball-handler.”) 4. San Antonio Spurs: Matas Buzelis (“There has been positive chatter from different circles around Matas Buzelis during the predraft process. … We're hearing he's being considered in the top five.”) 5. Detroit Pistons: Cody Williams (“No. 5 could be a spot late-lottery teams want to trade up to for a chance to draft Donovan Clingan. Rival teams also continue to predict that Cody Williams will be picked earlier than most expect, potentially by the Detroit Pistons at No. 5 or the San Antonio Spurs.”) 6. Charlotte Hornets: Stephon Castle (“Every team in the lottery will discuss Stephon Castle. They're all going to covet the idea of a 6'6" defensive stopper who handles the ball and passes, possesses great positional strength and just needs some improved shooting touch to unlock a unique potential trajectory and archetype.”) 7. Portland Trail Blazers: Donovan Clingan (“There is interest from teams in trading up for Donovan Clingan. The question is how early and at what cost.”) 8. San Antonio Spurs: Devin Carter (“Sources say the San Antonio Spurs are high on Devin Carter, who just completed workouts with the Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls.”) 9. Memphis Grizzlies: Ron Holland 10. Utah Jazz: Dalton Knecht (“ We're hearing the interest in Knecht starts at No. 6 with the Hornets. But teams more enticed by younger prospects with theoretical higher ceilings could allow Utah to grab the 23-year-old at No. 10.”) 11. Chicago Bulls: Rob Dillingham (“Though Rob Dillingham has yet to work out for teams, he's starting to sound like a candidate who could slide.”) 12. Oklahoma City Thunder: Tidjane Salaun (“Tidjane Salaun is earning workouts with top-10 teams, including the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons. The late lottery is now seen as the floor for the 18-year-old forward.”) 13. Sacramento Kings: Kel'el Ware (“An impressive pro day of shooting has had teams buzzing about Kel'el Ware. Sources say he's generating realistic consideration in the late lottery.”) 14. Portland Trail Blazers: Tristan da Silva 15. Miami Heat: Nikola Topić
The closer we get to draft night the more confused I'm getting about who we should take. Sheppard, Risacher, Castle, Dillingham, Topic, Buzelis, maybe even Holland?
