Whoa, time out Great Bobarino. Jalen may not be TMc2 but he is a good player, definitely not a bust.

Has he really? He's been a net negative player his entire career.

Need a "None of the above" option because they all suck! Why make someone in our conference better? They would have to do something really crazy to get #3 from us and taking their trinkets is not it.

his career, and the other young’ns, is one season long. The crime of the SS’era’/condoned, enabled by RS is the loss of development time ere Ime and subsequent extension time.

IMO - ‘24-‘25 is the time to look for YearII Jumps.

and, yes, JG4 is good. Ok, not generational, but still a worthy NBAer.

Yes, but you could only evaluate Udoka era if you bench Van Vleet and Brooks and see the show run by Green and Bari......

If they cannot run it at least to serviceable level, then I would think they are not as good as you described them to be.

The gripe is still the productivity of a lucky 41-41 record is largely due to Van Vleet orchestrating the Offense.......and not that Green and Bari took the baton from them.

We can circle jerk forth and back but the MVP were mostly FVV and Sengün. And Ime.

    The Great Bobarino? Tis ok.

I am looking forward to this off-season. I’m also looking to see what commitment Rox make to JG4:

    deferred decision one off-season?
decision to move on in a big-time deal?

    Houston Rockets, No. 3 pick
This is the most unlikely option, but it also pretty much guarantees Memphis grabs its big of the future. The Houston Rockets, who have the No. 3 overall pick, are an ideal team to make a trade. Houston has one of the best young cores in the NBA and a nice core of vets that are ready to win now. The third pick doesn’t push them forward as much as acquiring a veteran who’s ready to play now. Memphis may not be willing to trade the kind of player Houston wants, but the Grizzlies could get involved in a potential three-team trade that lands them with the third overall selection. The Pelicans need shooters, and the pairing of Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson continues to look imperfect. Memphis helps two division rivals while also strengthening its own roster in this scenario.

    Trade proposal:
Pelicans: HOU Dillon Brooks, MEM Luke Kennard, No. 9 pick
    Rockets: NOLA Brandon Ingram
Grizzlies: No. 3 pick, Jose Alvarado, Jae'Sean Tate

    Charlotte Hornets, No. 6 pick
    Trade proposal:
    Hornets: No. 9, future lottery-protected first-round pick
    Grizzlies: No. 6 pick

Portland Trail Blazers, No. 7 pick
    Trade proposal:
    Blazers: No. 9, No. 39
    Grizzlies: No. 7

Shooting is something the Rockets are desperate for too. I would think Sheppard is the ideal candidate.

Though I’m sure the Rockets have way more advanced analytics to better project his playing style on the team; YouTube highlights are fun but they are likely infused with bias depending who is making them.

I do like BI but at cost of number 3? They’d have to add a pick or something no? Just a thought

While this trade is interesting, why wouldn't the Pelicans just, you know, trade us BI for Brooks and the #3 pick directly? Is Luke Kennard on an expiring that valuable of a piece?

No chance at that imo. GG is way better than most of the players in this draft.

While it’s true that the Rockets need shooting, replacing a good shooter in Holiday with a potentially good shooter in Sheppard doesn’t make much of an impact. When people say we need shooters, they mean we need that from our starters. Unless Sheppard is replacing Green or Brooks in the starting lineup, his shooting is not going to move the needle much.

100% will defer to next year unless JG accepts a massive discount.

exactly. People always act like adding Sheppard means Rox can play 6 players on the court now lol.
