As others have expressed it's either the starting pitching, lack of timely hitting or bullpen that will keep this team from doing anything relevant this year. They can't realistically put anything consistent together and don't look like they are ready to get back over .500 anytime soon. I turned it off in the 8th when I knew Pressly sorry ass was coming in with just a 2 run lead.
This loss is primarily on Pressly. Hader wasn't good, but Pressly's putrid appearance put Hader in a tough spot.
Another disheartening loss That makes TEN of the last 11 losses by fewer than 3 runs. Everything will even out -- 4.5 back of wildcard and 6.5 of the division. Seattle run-diff vs record is fool's gold. .
How many games this year has the bullpen cost us? I lost count. But you cannot cough up games like this with a 2-run lead going into the 8th. Not when you've invested that much money in those relievers. Some of this is on Espada, but I put the vast majority on these guys just straight up underperforming. It's getting to be pathetic, especially in Pressley's case.
Okay... another question... isn't Loperfido a superior defender also? Cabbage over Loperfido is puzzling to me.
