Funny. My older brother still makes fun of me with this exact saying. He was a casual fan (great player though) and has always chuckled at my Astro obsession since 1980.
It feels almost inconceivable, but the Astros have been playing at a 95 win pace since the 7-19 start. Danger of digging yourself such a massive hole. Baseball is the ultimate marathon sport, but as long as you still have a s**t record it never feels like you are playing better. You need to go on tears, no just win series which is normally the goal.
We need good JV today , not bad JV that gives up 4 runs twice in his last 5 starts. Other 3 starts were pretty damn good in the last 5.
Great decision by me to turn it off in the 6th ahead 4-0. If they would have folded and lost I would have been pissed. Since they won it was nice to start off the day finding out that we won the game 6-1. Stayed up till almost 11 as it was. This thing must have lasted till after midnight. MLB needs to do something about the start times on these West Coast games. Love to watch my team but hate to stay up for the games that don't start until after nine o'clock.
