I remember you posting awhile back that you were trying to get 610 to do web broadcasts, and I was just wondering how it was going. Any hope that those of us outside of Houston will be able to listen to Rockets games on the web this season?
A very, very, very very good thing. Most of the games on League Pass use the other team's broadcast crew. I would watch the games and listen to the 610 broadcast on the Net, here in Austin, if I could. Can't they figure out how to make money off of advertizing that way? It really drives me crazy that I can't access it.
I would almost rather hear the other teams broadcast team now that Calvin is gone. This season just won't be the same without him... I'm also not a big fan of Geno.
even with online radio broadcasts.. dont t hey usually black out the sporting events? I thought they had to because of issues with the leagues.. ?
Sorry I just found this thread. We are still working on Internet broadcast for the station but sadly the games would not be a part of this. sorry!
The other AM station 740 has streaming media and also broadcasts the games online.... On another note, where can I get that cool song that John and Lance are always playing the morning....the one with that little train whistle?
The NBA and NFL have strict rules about internet broadcasts of games. NBA offers an online League Pass thing for games and I think the NFL does also. Radio stations are not allowed to broadcast any of those games over the net.
