This confirms that Sheppard is the best prospect in the class.

    2025 Kelly Iko article:

    "I apologize to Reed Sheppard"

    At least he does that.

    Others double down.

I'm not saying Sheppard is going to be Steph Curry..I'm not saying that at all...but if their was ever going to be someone who could be the next Steph Curry, wouldn't it look like Sheppard who shot the absolute lights out in college? And isn't that worth taking a chance on? Especially when you're one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the league. I'm not saying he's going to be a generation shooter but based off his resume so far he has to have one of the highest probability out of anyone in a long time.

Risacher is shooting 56% from 3 and doing it in the EuroCup. Nobody is saying Risacher will be the next Steph Curry but everyone is saying Sheppard will be the next Steph Curry even if Risacher shot better than him in a much harder tournament.

The problem with Sheppard is if his shooting isnt at Curry level you just spent the top 3 pick for the white Aaron Holiday. Although Sheppard prob has the highest floor and is the lowest risk player in the draft, as far as getting value at 3 he might be the riskiest pick among the lotto picks. if his shooting is like only 40% then whats the difference between him, Aaron Holiday and someone like Mconnell or Divicenzo? All very similar players and not worth the top 3 pick.

With that said if Risacher is off the board Im not sure who else to draft at 3 considering Topic has injury problems, Castle has diva problems and Holland/Buzelis have shooting problems.

"I'd rather draft the guy that can't hit the broad side of a barn and wants to play PG even though he wasn't good enough to do it in college."

Stone has had fairly easy decisions on his high draft picks. This is another.

Sheppard has an all around game, high IQ, and is elite at shooting. He’s the best 2-way player in the draft not named Devin Carter. The size issues are overblown, dude can create space because he is accurate from so deep. Defensively you just put him in the weight room to get stronger. If we keep the pick, take him. All this #3 is too early stuff is nonsense. It’s just not that kind of draft.

Lol, there's hilariously bad prospect analysis, then there's that.... truly next level hilariously bad.

I'm not sure how anyone could watch him play and come to that conclusion.
