Trump is a lying sack of ****. He went after the Clinton Foundation in 2017. See the Uranium One "controversy". If that case held any water, Trump's DOJ would have put the Clintons in jail.

Cotton pointed out that Trump didn’t lock Hillary Clinton up and it was unAmerican to lock up political opponents. Trump did back off his claim that he would lock her up (another promise he didn’t keep) in the 60 minutes interview right after the 2016 election. Trump did ask the DoJ while president to go after Biden and his family but got pushback from the AG and others in the DOJ.

When pressed on what Trump meant by retribution Tom Cotton repeated that Trump meant just by success in winning the election is what Trump meant.

Cyrus Vance in MTP just made a good point regarding the argument that the decision is flawed because the secondary crime wasn’t established.

He noted that if someone breaks into someone’s house you don’t have to eat that they were there to steal something to determine that was a crime. As such he doesn’t think that will be a strong point to overturn on appeal.

Also Cyrus Vance is bringing up something that I’ve read in other sources that Judge Merchan was careful and shut down possible avenues of appeal by both protecting Trump’s rights and limiting the prosecution.

The prosecution had wanted to introduce things like other claims of sexual harassment by Trump that might’ve helped an appeal but Merchan prevented it.

Don't worry Axelrod, there are more serious crimes yet to be tried.

Ironically, this case was the least serious crime and considered the weakest case by many experts.

Guilty on all 34 felony counts.

    Uh oh,,,

Trump also claimed he could but didn’t. He couldn’t. The DOJ was an independent agency and found no legitimate reason to go after Clinton. Plus, you can’t simply lock someone up. They have to be indicted, convicted, then sentenced.

These people are making a mockery of the process and the justice system because their cult leader got indicted and convicted.

How does anyone take this guy seriously as a presidential candidate. It's just laughable.

Only made slightly less laughable by the guy the Dems are running.

Most pathetic presidential cycle ever. I remember a phrase from my childhood, "that not very Presidential..."

You don't seem to have a problem with Judge Cannon and her being appointed by Trump? She has done NOTHING but rule in favor of Trump.

    ...well...

... let's hope that the Donald finally starting to circle the drain signals the beginnings of the "draining of the swamp" he "campaigned" on.

By hook or by (mostly) crook, the orange crusader may just wind up keeping his word on something...

    ...for once.;)

Yep. Every single day lies pour out his mouth. Every single day. He is incapable of stopping himself. His brain just isn't wired like a normal human being. He's a sociopath.

Show me which bench decisions would have been different. Otherwise, it's just meaningless noise.

Is there any level of bullsh1t that @Commodore will post and not treat like the absolute truth because he was told to think it?

    It's pretty sad to see.
