Do we want a sub par superstar?
    Or the 3rd pick?
Or trade the 3rd for a couple of shots at potential producers?

Still think we should trade this pick to portland for their picks and see's who is available, or trade one of them/or both for future assets if they are players other teams vehemently want and we don't.......trade for leverage?.............

    No faux superstars

You’ve been spoiled the last 3 years (having at least two picks in each draft) so you want another two cracks at the apple. Ime probably doesn’t want another rookie, let alone two. Now if you can trade down for a first and a future first (not two firsts in this draft), then sure. No, San Antonio isn’t doing 4 and 8. Portland 7 and 14 but again, that’s two rookies. Chicago at 11? Trade back to 11 for future assets? NO, NOT ZACH LAVINE. Chicago owes San Antonio a 2025 first. (‘25: protected 1-10; ‘26/‘27: 1-8)

Just roll with the 3rd pick (even if they don’t select who you/I want)

If they could trade for 2 lower 1st round picks then yeah, do that. But if not, go for an Allstar trade.

    Trade for Brogdon

    Trade Jalen for future assets

    Draft BPA #3

Use the MLE on a good shooter

    Sengun/Adams
    Bari/Amen
    Dillon/Tari
    MLE shooter/Cam
    FVV/Brogdon
    #3 pick

I'm sure the Rockets tried to trade back from #4 last draft; but nobody took the bait.
    So Stone went BPA (Amen)
(Cam Whitmore in my opinion....but it all worked out)

    1) trade back if a team bites (on the bait)....doubt it, this class are a bunch a backups

    2) trade for Star? Chicago wanted 3 or 4 first round picks for Caruso (non starter at the time)
It will take 3 or 4 first round picks + 2 or 3 of our core young kids.

    3) trade one or both of FVv or Dillon Brooks to add cap space.....pick up 2 or 3 free agent depth.

    __________

    My guess

Udoka does not want more raw players so he trades:
Jalen Green, Tari, Cam Whitmore + #3 pick (among others picks)
    x
    quote unquote Star player

You act as though that team was fundamentally different than the current one....both competent creators from the current roster are listed as starters on that one.

Not having Jalen would hurt our offensive creation. I know you’re not sold on him, I’m not completely sold myself. We can’t act like his skill set isn’t valuable. He’s just inconsistent and hopefully he’ll fix that or his ass is gone

That might be the case if he was actually good at offensive creation, but he's not. Simply not having him out there, and having a SG that is capable of shooting the ball would improve the offensive creation by providing spacing for the quality players to create.

It's not that I'm not sold on him, it's that he's never been good at basketball with the exception of brief fluke hot shooting streaks.

He’s shown that he’s capable of being an elite 3 level scorer. He’s just inconsistent, which is concerning. I just hope he finds some consistency

    That's simply false.

You can't be an "elite 3 level scorer" if you can't score efficiently from anywhere. Just because a player will keep chucking to inflate their raw stats doesn't mean they are an "elite scorer"
