I'd rather have the Mavs win, because I don't hate the city of Dallas and have no inferiority complex about Dallas. Celtics are just annoying af.
I want the Celtics because I dont need Dallas matching the Rockets in titles, although I want Kyrie to win again because there's too many people calling him antisemitic (with no proof) or because he has a different harmless view than them. Really shows how far we've fallen in society that people hate someone because essentially they don't believe the same thing they do.
The Celtics would go one-up on the Lakers in championships, that's cool, but there's no one I would like to see win a championship on the Celtics. None of those dudes are interesting to me. I would like to see Kyrie get one without LeBron, but that means Dallas gets another. It's whatever, I guess. Here's to a good Finals.
It has to be the Celtics. Y'all realize that Dallas winning again will cement us as the third-fiddle team in Texas, right? We haven't been to the Finals in 30 years and Dallas will have made three in the last 20 (with perhaps two wins). We, as haters, need Boston to win.
Back before Luka's draft, when he wasn't affiliated with any team, I said his ceiling was GOAT. At 25 years old a championship here would be a very strong start for a top 10 all time career. Nobody on Boston other than Derrick White is even worth rooting for.
My hate for Bill Simmons overrides my hate for Dallas so I'm going to ride heavy for the Mavs. Also think Mavs earned their way to the Finals more than the Celtics.
Well, JVG; Cassell are still on the team.....and I always liked Horford as well. Class guy. But I get your point, if you are about superstars, then obviously the choice is Luka or (Kyrie) over a balanced team like the Celts.
True Horford is cool too but he's gonna be the biggest liability in this next series so we might not even see him very much. I don't really care about the coaching staff. Unless it's my cousin or something over there, that doesn't really factor into it for me.
