I would rather keep #3 than add Mitchell or Bridges.

As I (and probably some others) consider you an insider, I find your thoughts on this idea extremely interesting.

Is there a player (other than the usual) that you would trade #3 for?

For example, if we traded #3 to Pelicans for Trey & #21.

The Pelicans wouldn't trade Trey for the third pick, let alone add the 21st.

Yeah, don't offer the Nets anything more than that under any circumstances. The Nets will almost certainly refuse this potential offer. Tell them sorry, and move on to a better player if possible. Stone mustn't offer anyone the farm. The Westbrook trade set the Rockets back badly.

I was there. It was terrible. The worst part was that they kept talking about how excited they were to bring Rudy in because the trade hadn't yet officially been announced.

    Boos aplenty that night.

Ah, yes. I remember that. "We can't talk about the pick, we're so excited, we can't talk about the pick, we're so excited......"
Breaking News: The Rockets just stapled Rudy Gay, draft pick slider, to Slowmile Swift's contract to get rid of him. SWIFT "patrol sock" jerseys 75% off in Rockets gift shop!!

The Rockets always say this and we have yet to have a major trade since the rebuild started. Looking at the potential candidates this offseason, there's honestly not a match. Either someone we don't need/want, or the player clearly have better options.

guess we should take UConn draft prosoects off the board ;)

yes, it was a devastating night. But in retrospect we had a defense-first coach who hated rookies and a new GM focused on analytics. It’s clear as day now.

I see Mitchell as much better than Bridges for this group. Still would only offer Brooks+#3+Green for Mitchell though.

    We are notorious for overpaying.

I see them trading for Bridges for all the Nets picks including #3. And as an extra kick in the pants, our filler will be more than filler.

    Preparing to be pissed…

Notorious? How? Every trade Stone has made aside from Harden has been for minor assets.

E.g. stands for “exempli gratia,” meaning “for example,” and is used to provide specific examples that fall under a more general category.

It would have to be a pretty damn good player. The Rockets will run into salary cap issues soon.

They probably would - they have salary cap issues.
