Why is Espada so f**king bad at pitcher usage management This s**t isn't string theory, it's not that difficult.
I'm admittedly not a great baseball mind. But thats the point. Why get an extra inning out of Blanco, just to use up Hader anyway? Seems like 2 wastes. If novices are seeing a recurring issue, its not a good look on the manager
Excellent work from Blanco, and got the series win. It's always nice when the manager chooses to keep his closer nice and rested heading into a matchup with your top divison rival
Stros keep pace with Mariners and Rangers. FIVE games under 500 and 3.5 games behind Blanco's great start reinforces his success before the sticky situation. .
Ready for the four game showdown series starting tomorrow night in Seattle to possibly move into first place. We have Alex Mendosa batting clean-up. Jbreu is rejoining the team and will probably be in starting line up at least three of the four games. Our closer just pitched in two of the last three games and will probably need a day or two off. What could possibly go .wrong. At least we have Framber going in game one fresh off full melt down in his last start. I think I will tune in and try to stay up just to watch him.
Pitching Hader again before Wednesday will be risky business . Expect multi-innings from Scott and Seth in the first 2 games vs Seattle -- Montero and Pressly are rested. Starters need 5 innings minimum, 6 is great, 7 is gravy. Some offense will help too.
Playing chess, sparing Montero cuz he needs to be "maximized better" against division leader for the "bigger moment" when needed. While we already know that Pressly & Hader "can be relied on" .. Lesser arms require more prep (or something whatever)
