I never said Reed would “unlock” Wemby, who, btw, is already a top ~30 NBA talent and whom everyone in the league is saying “watch out, win while you can” in reference to the kid.

I have no idea if Reed will even be available at 3. He has all the ingredients of a, at a minimum, highly contributable player in this era of NBA play, and playing with someone like Wemby would only benefit his play and maximize his value.

all I know is giving pops and the spurs this type of player is a dangerous proposition. He is an excellent shooter and defender and appears to have a great BBIQ as well…you don’t have to tear down a prospect to see that there’s a reason to NOT want a guy to go to a competitor. SAS clearly suffered from not having a PG last year with the Sochan (KPJ esque) trial run….i do not want them to get the best defensive PG prospect in recent memory…only other PGs to avg 2.5 steals per game: Kidd, Payton, Stockton, CP3. Add his elite grading shooting, 40 in vert…. Why Invite that with Wemby…

The Celtics are proof that great 3 PT shooters make a huge difference in winning against the best teams in the league. We need help big time to get to that level. Reed is a step in that direction for sure.
