Lifelong Stros fan! We live in Ohio and are planning to come to Galveston for family vacation. Going to surprise our kids to an Astros game! We are looking at the Dodgers series end of July and saw kids run bases on that Sunday. Would love any information/tips from you all about what to do/where to go at the park. Best place for tickets, food inside, any picture/autograph options.

I usually use Vivid for Tickets.
Look into Astros Buddies for tickets/kids running the bases.
I don't know much about getting live autos at the games, but there is a store in MMP that sells autos and game used memorabilia.

I always use the Gametime app for tickets. If you want the best deal, you should wait until an hour or 2 before the game when sellers get desperate. But since you're coming from out of town, you may want to have everything planned ahead of time.

There are a million different food options besides just hot dogs. Best advice is to just walk around.

Have fun and be careful. There will probably be some drunk dodger fans causing trouble.

I’ve never used anything besides Seat Geek. Minute Maid has great nachos near the Crawford boxes.

    West End...Jamaica Beach?

It's gonna be a loooong haul to get to MMP, so just prepare.

Unless @Xerobull will loan you his helicopter?

Good info on food & drink options. I don't personally eat at the ballpark because it's mostly junk food & pricey. But I get with the kids they may want ice cream & such.

Drink options, the St Arnold bar behind the Crawford boxes and the Karbach bar near home plate both have a good beer selection. The El Tiempo marg bars in left & right field serve a great margarita, but be careful with those.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Ninfas

Pregame Margaritas and Fajitas for the table

You park there, they drive you to the stadium, after the game they pick you up and take you back

Absolutely. I was more keeping my comment geared more towards inside the park.

Another good strategy is going to Frost Town Brewing. You buy 1 beer you park free, and it's just 3 blocks away from the stadium. They had a vendor serving up some pretty tasty tacos as well last time I did that one.
