Any trade of Amen is a loss in my book. Take him out of the equation and we can talk.

Trade down to Portland for 7 & 14? Take Clingan and Collier? Knecht and Ware? Castle and Missi? A guard/guard or guard/center combo is needed.

Memphis can get Clingan, Risacher, or whoever they like best--we trade upside (Green) for safety (Bane) and lock down SG long-term. Maybe Sheppard is still on the board at #9, or maybe we get somebody like Devin Carter or Filipowski.

I think giving Udoka 2 more rookies again with the youth already on the team might be a bit too much. I don’t want the guy to have medical issues induced from stress in only his second year.

Please no. Castle will be gone by 7, and he's the only one that's worth a look.

I think it's crazy to say someone will be gone by 7 unless you're talking about Sarr. Mock drafts are all over the place. Clingan could go 2 or 12.... same with Dillingham or Buzelis, Sheppard, Castle, Holland.... Someone team might fall in love with a guy like Edey, some team will draft for fit like the Hornets won't take a PG or they thing Ball has bad ankles and they will specifically go PG... A team might draft a low ceiling, ready made guy like Knecht top 10, it is as wide open as I can remember.

Perhaps, but I don't want Houston to trade down to 7 and 14. I do like Knecht, but his defense is poor.

Is there any possibility whatsoever that Brunson asks out of NYC? Any disquiet between him and Thibs/him and the front office? Seems highly unlikely but just something I was thinking about. I would be willing to pay a huge haul for Brunson on an extension. Perfect fit with Sengun.

That train has left the station. Garland would be a good addition, but not at 40m/year. There really is no difference maker this year that is worth the price. If we can use the #3 pick to get a bit of experienced Jalen insurance and a future good draft pick that would be the best we can do with what is available right now. I’m not trading any of the core 6 for anybody that is currently considered available (trey, Mitchell, Dejounte, Bridges). If Booker becomes available (highly unlikely) then maybe Jalen and picks. NY fans would burn down MSG if the Knicks traded Brunson and he has shown absolutely no inclination to leave. Next year is supposed to be one of the best drafts in a decade. Trade the pick for a useful vet and a lightly protected 2025 pick if you can. Of course, all the other GM’s are probably seeing 2025 the way we are.

    Trade the pick? Sure.

I'll trade the pick to Adam Silver for Reed Sheppard on draft day ..... Assuming he doesn't go in the first two picks.

Don't get cute and screw this up.

The right rookies will fit in just like amen and cam did this season as all our rookies other than Ty, Gup and Usman haven’t had hard times to develop. Ime would have Ware looking like Lively 2.0 and whatever guard is an instant upgrade over holiday (no disrespect)

I would gladly trade the #3 pick in this years draft for the #5 in next years. Maybe even for the #6 or #7.

Trade the #3 pick to San Antonio for the #4 and #8 picks (any ideas on how to sweeten this deal for San Antonio?)

Trade #8 + Jalen Green to Detroit for #5

Rockets end up with the #4 and #5 picks

    3-way with Rockets/Wiz/Nets:

    Wiz in: Jalen Green
    Brooklyn in: #2 pick
    Houston in: Bridges

expiring fillers to make the money work. I wouldn’t be willing to trade much more for Bridges, but if we can get him for Jalen, the price is right. The Wiz do this because they need a star (there isn’t an obvious one in this draft). The Nets do this because they are starting to see the need to rebuild, and why not start with a guaranteed #2 pick. They may never get a higher pick over the next few years. The Rockets do this to upgrade Jalen and avoid having to pay him.

Keep the pick, draft Sheppard, and trade off a couple of our least proficient shooting guards next season if they don't improve a lot. We need 3 PT shooters desperately, and not just guys taking a ton of bricks to get more points.

Anthony Davis. Do not give up Sengun, Green, Jabari, Amen, or Whitmore in the trade.
3rd pick + Brooks, Eason, picks.

Do a trade for Scoot and Robert Williams for #3, Jeff Green, Tate and Landale. This gets us another athletic guard, and an athletic defensive center we can line up with Dillon and Tari. Tate and Green last year of their contracts so win win for both teams.

You got no response but I love that idea. I’m very big on Devin Carter and think he’s a guy that fits this team perfectly.
