I am not going to agree with the order, but I will say that a lot of these in the list are albums I have listened to numerous times. And I have listened to most of them at least once. What stands out is that they're a lot of acclaimed albums rather than best albums. Although I am surprised Travis Scott made it on here and not Lil Wayne.

What do you think? Garbage? Or a decent shot at ranking the 100 Best Albums?

There's definitely classic albums and great music within the individual genres there, but it sounds like maybe classic and popular albums that are frequented by Apple music users with their in house data rather than an all time definitive list.

Which of course would likely be modern listeners and age ranges and perhaps any recency bias or perspectives of those users in the sample.

Perhaps the classic mixed with popular albums that Apple music listeners are actually listening to on a daily basis. So some good music is there, but definitely take it with a grain of salt.

That is a weird list they're all good albums but about half are no where close to top 100 -- I feel like I'm missing something.

If I did the proper analysis, Kacey Musgraves is the only performer for the Country Music category?

I am not that much into Country Music, but am surprised that at least one of

    • Willie Nelson
    • George Strait
    • Garth Brooks
    • Shania Twain
    • Etc
    also didn't make the list.

Terrible list, but then again, I think music died sometime in the mid-90s.

And it's not even the original release it's Taylor's Version! Lauren Hill at #1 is just funny -- great album, but needs to be around 762 in the top 1000 all time.

Mozart, The Beatles, and Bob Marley walked so Lauren Hill could run.

I think a list like this is impossible to get right. Each person will have different albums and even the same ones in defiierent a different order.

But this list reeks of trying to make sure they didn't forget something. Oh wait do we have any music from genre x then let's throw Nina Simone in there. Everybody talks about Velvet Underground. Let's make sure to include one of their albums.

That's understandable but also a flawed way to put a list together. Impossible task and there are plenty of great albums on it but also not definitive by any means.
