Don’t worry boys, we’ve got a reinforcement on the way. Just has to make a quick stop in Sugarland first.
I am not that mad about this loss, Anderson has been dealing this year, but I am re-aggravated about the Monday night shenanigans - should have been a series win.
At least we won't have to hear Eschenfelder do pbp for a while. We can blame this series loss on him giving bad juju and Framber.
Could just as easily say they should have lost last night. Angels ran into an out while they have Javier primed for the knockout. in the end, Astros didn’t play well enough to win the series. Learn from it, make adjustments, 4 months of season to readjust to the adjustments.
I agree, games like this will happen, bats go silent but Monday`s loss is unacceptable, that was an unforced error which resulted in a loss that should not have happened. Astros had 6 hits today compared to 3 by the Devils, we get hits but cant hit when it actually matters. Man, Dubon is a firecracker and Meyers is showing what he can do with an opportunity, both hitting over .300
Anderson only threw 95 pitches in 8 innings and Houston was 0-6 with RISP. Top 6 in the lineup went a combined 2-23 with no runs or RBIs. That's a real **** effort from the meat of your lineup. You don't deserve to win games like that. On to the next one...
Got home from the game a little while ago. I live in The Woodlands area. I was there for the entire game...and was home by 4 for a 1:10 start. Can't say the clock doesn't work...but that was a miserable offensive game. I can't remember seeing 1 team hit so many infield flies in one game as the Astros did today. Everyone around me was convinced they called the Pena double wrong. Just bad luck on that one. 1/2" higher and it's out.
