It's actually crazy how little people are calling him out on his atrocious play. He absolutely murders that Denver offense when he goes hunting his own shots trying to one-up his man clamping him down. It's no surprise Denver took the ball out of his hands throughout this series to secure Ws. I've watched nearly every Denver game the past 2 years on account of having had Jokic both years in fantasy. The amount of times Jokic lets Murray ballhog to his hearts content - to the detriment of the team - only for Jokic to go Jokic and dominate on the back end of the game to secure a win, is comical. If Murray didn't have Jokic, he wouldn't be in any position to be making his dagger jumpers. He would never lead a team to the playoffs by himself.
Absolutely, he's pretty overrated all around, but he's still a really good player. If he wasn't crippled by his injury, wolves would have been drawing dead in this series. He played like a worse jalen green basically (because he was injured)
Its funny seeing the exuberance here in MN today. Except for one of my best friends who is the bass player in my band. He's from Denver and he is bitter. I don't blame him. If that was the Rockets blowing a 20 pt lead in game 7 I would be too.
they said Jokic is 0-5 in his postseason career against teams that have won at least 50 games…that used to be the majority of the WC playoff teams back in the day
To be fair, Jokic has never played on a team that could win 30 games without him. This isn't Jordan who can leave and the team wins 55. The team he won 46 with 2 years ago where murray and mpj didn't play would have won 12ish games without him
During game 6 he frequently ignored wide open 3pt shooters for a contested shot in the lane or layup. It's obvious all this "Murray didn't show up" criticism is getting into his head and he's trying to stat pad. Jokic is the ultimate point center and if Jamal isn't on the same page then the Nuggets need to move on from him.
I think Murray is a great player but he easily can't handle criticism. The Nuggets needed someone to create shots for others besides Jokic and he clearly had assist opportunities that were good for the stat sheet but he didn't execute them.
delow and ant couldn't co exist. but he would take the minnesotas deep too, if ant was the one traded.
