Most of his inconsistencies last year could be traced back to the ankle injury. I also do feel he fell in love with his sinker that doesn’t sink when he’s trying to throw it 100 mph.

So far this year, his stuff has been better in that regard (didn’t see last night, but just commenting more on sinkers that dont sink). The elbow inflammation that probably stemmed from either a poor spring training workout regimen or a poor off-season workout regimen. He’s still a gamer and taken the hill for the Astros more than any other starter throughout the golden era… and yet still gets hyper-criticized at any sub-par outing. (Which is fine… but people have also been wanting to trade him since 2020…)

Chas got freakishly hot a couple of times last year. We could use that production.

It's a new day, we move on. People can continue to blame Espada till the cows come home, but these players are professionals and need to take responsibility for their actions good or bad. Let's just win the series.

Framber straying from the game plan and shaking off Diaz nonstop is troublesome... Dusty poisoned his trust in Yainer is something we can thank him for

It was a double punch in the junk for sure. Now I'm a glutton for pain, but I can't take too many more of those

That was a really great game until the Framer implosion. When we were up 6-1 and Seattle was down to their last at bat down 4-1 to NYY I had already counted my chickens and had us only 3 games out of first place. We all know what happened after that. That's baseball for you.

Fastball topping out at 90 mph and bp sliders, looking great!
