Nothing was beyond Hinch's control. I dont believe the media should give a guy like Luhnow a bunch of crap during the dark times, then not be willing to take crap once they're proven wrong. Personally I loved the way Luhnow ran the team and wish Brown and Click to a lesser extent were more like him.
It's not all Framber, but when things go bad for Framber they go real bad in a hurry. Problem is Strom isn't there anymore to calm him down. Right now would you trust Framber to start game 2 of a WS, given how inconsistent he's been? I dont trust him at all. Framber needs to stop thinking and throw the pitches that are called. Do you think if Strom was still here Framber would've been allowed to pull the crap he pulled last night? There's no leadership on the field from Espada or Miller and I'm beginning to doubt Brown's leadership abilities, even though he was hired to rebuild the farm system not so much to run the on field product. I just wish Crane would go back to the Luhnow model.
Even the stat nerds see what's been going on for awhile now. Is it still his ankle or is his head stuck up his butt?
Since his 2nd to last start of last season in the regular season Framber has been all over the place. KC 5.1 IP 6 ER @SEA 4 IP 3 ER PLAYOFFS MIN 4.1 IP 5 ER TEX game 2 ALCS 2.2 IP 4 ER TEX game 6 ALCS 5 IP 3 ER 2024 NYY 4.2 IP 3 ER TOR 7.2 IP 0 ER @ COL 5 IP 2 ER SEA 5.1 IP 5 ER @ DET 7 IP 2 ER OAK 7 IP 0 ER LAA 5 IP 8 ER So out of his last twelve starts he's had 4 quality starts and 7 horrible and 1 so-so (gm6 ALCS). Yes he's had long stretches of being consistent and dominant but that certainly hasn't been the case for awhile nor was he dominant when we really needed him to be (playoffs last yr). Plus those dominant starts of late were against bad teams. Really needs to figure it out because we need him to be a serious World Series contender.
I'm still on the fence about Espada, but it is nice seeing Meyers, Chas, and Tucker all out there with a fly ball pitcher on the mound.
stars just don't seem to align this season. the only hope is for the division to continue to be hella mid.
I am expecting that. Now that Chas is back and when Abreu is back there simply isn't any ABs for the 12th and 13th guys on the roster, with the non-starting catcher as the 12th. Rather Loperfido get ABs in SL than waste on the bench.
If Loperfido isn't going to play every day he needs to go down and play It's obvious Espada doesn't want to see him at 1B, so with Chas back he needs to go down and play
Maybe there is some 5D chess or whatever, but the game situation and post game comments seem like a real dumb way to teach a lesson. You can’t be giving away winnable games to teach someone a lesson. There’s also been a pattern of leaving guys in too long or not having anyone warmed up.
