While I have no love for OKC, I really cant root for Dallas. So I was pulling for OKC till the end. If I was a OKC fan, I would be mad at Presti for not cashing in a few of the 100 first round picks he has to improve the team this past year. Just a bit of improvement would probably been enough to propell them past Dallas.
Also if they wanted game 7, they wouldn't have let free throws decide the outcome of the game. Usually you get away with murder on the last possession (on defense).
Regular season Luka : 38.2% from 3 Rest of team : 36.5% from 3 Playoffs so far Luka : 30.1% from 3 Rest of team : 39.0% from 3
This last point is a good one. They are still ahead of schedule for sure but...I really would have liked to see that series if Zion played. Zion v Chet for a series would have been interesting.
What’s the point? Even with a handful of better players - their core pieces are still a bit too young anyway to seriously win a title and they are building a contender for many years to come and those draft picks will be vital to get cheap talent on rookie contracts in the future. No need to cash chips in for win now mode when they are winning and they are potentially set up for a dynasty…and make no mistake - this roster will get very expensive very soon and with the new harder cap rules than in years past - those draft picks are going to be very important to sustaining into the future. It’s going to be really difficult to financially afford a “big 3” in the new CBA-unless you have cost controlled draft capital to balance out the spend…I have a feeling that’s where Presti and other smart GMs are keeping an eye towards.
Yes, Kyrie wasn't there because he's a moron. However, Durant and Harden together could still be a very good team. But Durant was injured. And Harden didn't like Durant sided with Kyrie and donned his fat suit again.
"best player" whos been playing like **** lol kyrie and pj washington have been outplaying luka these entire playoffs
He did but PJ Washington still hadn't shot it at that point yet and the ball wasn't dislodged. The follow through hit his wrist just before the shot was released.
You're allowed to smack the ball outta people's hands though? Or am I missing something? Dude pulled up for a J, SGA got his hand on the ball, PJ was lucky enough that he kept it, but what happened afterwards doesn't really matter, because he got the ball first (SGA was in motion as well). N they've only called it, after the shot was way short, probably thinking that he must of fouled him. Everything looked clean to me, unless they've changed some rules that I'm not aware of
Everything afterwards doesn't it matter if he had blocked it but he didn't. Washington double clutched and SGA hit his arm on the second clutch.
I get that, but he was in motion as well, thats the reason why everything afterwards doesn't matter. Not like SGA jumped again n fouled him, that would be a seperate play. This was all the same play
Playoffs so far: Luka: 0.140 ws/48, 5.9 BPM, 1.0 VORP, 20.3 PER PJ: 0.107 ws/48, 1.9 BPM. 0.4 VORP, 13.3 PER Kyrie: 0.142 ws/48, 3.8 BPM, 0.7 VORP, 17.2 PER (his worst ever in the playoffs outside of boston) Obviously Luka is injured, like Embiid was, or Murray was, and injured guys play much worse. He has been the best mav in the playoffs though, very clearly
