Maybe someone should sit Espada down and explain to him that Arrighetti would have more confidence if he had been pulled after 6 innings and a crisp 80 pitches. Second time “Joe” has done this to Arrighetti. I’m sure Dubin in Sugar Land is glad Joe had him go out for that third inning earlier in the year.

Maybe. But at this point last year Abreu had been playing every day and batting cleanup and still hadn’t hit a home run yet. I think Jose was below the mendoza line too. Singleton is doing much better than that, and should continue to improve. Also, Abreu wasn’t getting on base like Singleton is at any point during last season.
Yeah but I said projected out to a full season of ABs is on a trajectory of Abreu's season ending numbers and if we got that out of 1B, I'd personally be happy. Yes, Abreu was a complete mess at this point last year, and for him to outdo that slow start this year is truly amazing.
