Transgender individuals have a higher prevalence of depression across several age groups, often due to life experiences that include discrimination, harassment, violence, misgendering, and enacted stigma that may generate poor mental health outcomes and harmful behaviors [4,7,8]. It is widely accepted that depression puts an individual at higher risk for suicidal ideation and suicide attempts [9].

 

A close friend of mine is the head of urology at a major hospital in a large city. You can't imagine the things he has seen related to the transgender madness. He is more conservative than El_Conquistador, by the way.

We need to carefully study the psychology of the transgender community. Much more needs to be studied and learned about what causes people to go down this path. Is it a mental disease that is curable or preventable? I want to see them get help, but I don't believe that removing a pole and creating a ditch is the best way to go about it.
