If Cajuns make it, creoles make it better. Creole is also much more expansive, it’s not saddled with all the silly rules the French bring to Cajun food, and by extension, there’s a lot more freedom to experiment. Acadians and by extension, Cajuns, certainly didn’t leave that “holier than thou” persona back in Europe when they crossed the pond.

    I get that.

Cajuns : Cajun food = Texans : BBQ

Creole is a bit different, you have to admit. I love the mashup of the two.

The Irish breakfast rolls on a baguette loaded with sausages, bacon, white or black pudding, butter, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns, and fried eggs are common at most gas stations and quick shops. I've had plenty of those on road trips during all my trips to Ireland, and got full on half that monstrosity. Nothing like a nice fattening greasy start to the day after a night of a few pints of Guinness. But, to be fair I usually burn off the calories doing a lot of hiking and walking. :D

My god, the English/Irish breakfast is so horrible.

You forgot the beans, btw. :)

I hate baked beans, and it's one of the very few side dishes I don't like. Maybe it's the ketchup type flavor I grew out of since my childhood. I can't deny liking all that other stuff. I don't eat it here, but do try to embrace cultural food when I travel. I'm not a fan of what they call sausage compared to Texas smoked sausage. Theirs reminds me of hot dogs in texture. I do find the black and white puddings ok, even if they are really gross mixtures of stuff I don't want to know is in there. Kinda of like hagas in Scotland. It's creepy good to me. Haha I like trying weird foods.

Bread, egg, some sort of meat, some fruit...that's breakfast

The Brits don't know how to do it right, but "morcilla" (blood sausage) is totally delicious in Chile/Argentina/Spain/places, they put some spices in it....spread it on bread

    Mushrooms? Beans? WTF?

Baked beans, runny eggs, and rubbery bacon is an abomination. I like local food but the food of the British Isles are an exception for me. What's worse is thanks to the British empire places from Egypt to New Zealand think that bacon is supposed to be rubbery.

Why is so amazingly difficult for those weirdos to cook bacon? It's not that complicated.

For those who don't know this is what the Brits call "Bacon".

I think what they call bacon is like what we would call fried ham. It's not the same thing as our bacon. Yeah, bland food without spices isn't my preference either, and brown sauce on meat or mayo on salads is just gross to me. They really are odd birds with the cooking.

Then again, what many consider hot isn't even hot to me. Jalapenos aren't hot to me. I prefer roasted serrano peppers or just sprinkling some reaper powder or scotch bonnet sauce on bland stuff like baked chicken.
