Bonds actually is nicer than people think. Sammy didn't deserve it. McGwire neither imo. Bonds is one of the best players of all time.

    600 homeruns is automatic

Bonds was a HOF before steroids. He was awesome.

Bonds was an insufferable prick that teammates and the media hated.

It's a big part of the reason he was so excessively vilified in comparison to other, lesser cheaters like Mac and Sosa.

I remember meeting Bonds (and Darryl Strawberry at that) as a young kid before a Giants game at Candlestick back when my family lived in CA. Seemed super nice from what I remember.

Facts. He didn't like the media and they certainly didn't treat him well either but he was a really nice person in my experiences as well

I can only speak from personal experience. I'm aware he didn't get along with his teammates. Jordan didn't either. People that great are wired differently. They have to be

20 years ago i didn't even realize. Bloody hell. I was a sophomore in high school :( Father Time can piss off lol

But I remember Kent going back into the dugout after, "alls we need is one more! One more win!". That Astros team vs down 0-3 Bo Sox would've been an epic World Series (yes I'm a Homer).

The Astros have an offer on their website today that they would buy the first beer tonight for fans using the link for Fans First on their website to buy tickets.

    Fine print
The beer is a Michelob Ultra. This is not Fans First to me.

Jeff: "Hey...that's not MLB chalk! It's cocaine! That stuff makes the fingers do crazy, garly things! Aloha, Mr. Hand!"
Mr. Hand: "Don't worry, Mr Spicoli. I have a feeling you'll sniffle by."

2 minor leaguers in the outfield and Dubon at 1B.

    I don't like it

I like it vs the A's when the team is playing well.

They need some playing time. I like giving Jon a break and Dubon some reps at 1B.

I like seeing Joey on the field. I don't think it matters much for Cabbage who is likely gone when Chas returns.

I prefer Dubon at 1B and Joey in CF than the other way around. But that does tell me all I need to know about how they view Loperfido at 1B.
