#3 this year for a top 3 protected 1st next year from Det, Was, Cha or Por. If it doesn't convey next year it's unprotected 26. Find someone delusional.

The latest CBA implemented rules to discourage super teams (3 stars).

PG would allow our kids to develop while riding their coattails......that would be the biggest benefit
for PG. Start while also leading from behind. Finisher of games.

Sign-n-Trade takes all leverage away from the Clippers. Houston could unload crap
and not have to give up Cam Whitmore or Tari or Jalen Green or Jabari.

Donovan Mitchell would cost a ton. Giving up our young kids would hurt.....but I'm willing
to send out Dillon Brooks and/or VanVleet.

Young player that gets us in the playoffs?

Player would need to be at odds with current team. No team with a 26 (circa) year old
will give up that talent without taking away much of our young talent in return.

I was strong on Haliburton when he was traded from the Kings.....now try to get him.

    Might be available:
    LeMelo Ball
    Zion Williamson
    Darius Garland
    Brandon Ingram
    Kuzma
    Jaden McDaniels
    Zach Lavine
    Miles Bridges
    Mikal Bridges
    Jarrett Allen
    Etc

Up to interpretation as to whether any or all are available and if any get you to the playoffs?

Fit with Udoka scheme and what are you giving up?

Not sure I'm sold on the idea, but FVV and the #3 pick for Trae Young is interesting. FVV could fill the PG spot for a couple seasons while they build around Murray, Johnson, Okongwu, the #1 pick, and the #3 pick. We'd get a potentially killer offensive combo between Young and Sengun.

    Young / Green / Brooks / Smith / Sengun
    Amen / Whitmore / Eason / Adams

The list of players that we'd trade the #3 pick for:

    1) Devin Booker
    2) Ja Morant

    And that's the list.

Paul George will be 34 upon the start of next season. Pass.

No, FVV AND a top 3 pick for Paul George.

The problem with our new shiny toy (no. 3 pick) is that its peak trade value does not align well with the market…I mean, what stars are actually being traded or moved by June 27. After that the value of the pick/draftee decreases pretty significantly.

I doubt Mitchell moves by then. PHX players are off the table in that time span as well. Basically Bridges, Trae…and a bunch of good players/vets but as far as grade A or B stars…probably slim pickings.

it probably makes the most sense to trade down if there is something palatable and provides good value, but if not… Just take the pic. Getting a top 3 pick is very difficult…DET has had the worst record 3 years in a row and have 3-straight no. 5 picks to show for it.

I think, if anything, this accelerates the decisions that need to be made with Green/Sengun et al. and cap space moving forward.

I really liked the idea of Clingan with a non-top 4 pick but we may not need that immediately with Adams. We are going to need length to defend Webby and this could be our best bet for a while. While Reed fits the current roster perhaps better, Sarr would be ideal (not happening), we can get some serious size if we stay at 3 to hang with the “big” teams running the league.

    I wouldn't trade Sengun straight-up for KAT.

    That's why you're not GM

KAT's a better player in every aspect

No he's not -- at least, he's not a better prospect. He's almost 30, injured constantly, and on a massive contract. If you conducted a draft to build a team from scratch, Sengun would go before KAT 10 out of 10 times.

Lmao to ppl saying about Kat..kat only looks amazing cause he's second fiddle to Edwards .what has kat done in Minnesota? Jimmy Butler and now Edwards is the reason he looks good..kat was a playoff choker, softy, and just not a difference maker..sengun is already better than him.

Sengun & the 3rd pick for
No he's not lol. The only time Sengun's a threat is 2ft from the basket because he can't shoot. KAT does everything significantly better plus defends. This is utterly stupid

I know how old he is.

These stars are always doing two year deals (if he wants 4 years, yeah, I'd like to see a team give him 4+ years)

I posted last week how PG scored in NBA percentile and PPP with each "Play Types"
Ball Handlers (PnR): 1.09 PPP.....94.5 NBA percentile
    Spot Up................... : 1.29 PPP.....93.5 NBA percentile
    Cutter....................... : 1.62 PPP....95.5 NBA percentile
    Put Backs................ : 1.29 PPP....81.8 NBA percentile
Post Ups:.................. 1.12 PPP....78.1 NBA percentile
    Isolations.................. 1.03 PPP....73.0 NBA percentile
Off Screens.............. 1.10 PPP.....68.0 NBA percentile
Hand Offs................. 0.74 PPP....23.6 NBA percentile

Not sure you will find a more rounded player young or old. 90 or above NBA percentile in
    3 categories,1 in the 80's, 2 in the 70''s, and 1 near 70 NBA percentile.

7 categories where the player PPP is 1.00 or better. Dude will contribute in always
    moving the scoreboard

Plus he has always been a good defender.
    _________

FVv and Tate vs Paul George salary will be pretty much a wash. Rockets would still have money to
    pursue Tyus Jones.

    Paul George (23/24) 22.6 pts...5.2 rebs...3.5 ast...47% FG%....41% 3P%...91% FT%

    I'd love to trade the 3rd pick for Utah's 7th and 14th.
