    Ethan Pecko: 4 IP, H, 2 BB, 4 K
    Jackson Nezuh: 5 IP, H, BB, 6 K

Yamal Encarnacion (2) and Oliver Carrillo (5) both hit two-run homers and Chase Jaworsky had a two-run double in Fayetteville's 6-0 win over Carolina. Carrillo finished 3-4 on the night.

Miguel Ullola had a bare minimum quality start (6 IP, 3 ER) for Corpus. The three runs he gave up both came on a pair of homers; he allowed two other hits, walked one, and struck out 12.

Asheville only managed two hits as they were shut out in Winston-Salem 3-0. Jose Guedez allowed a hit, walked one, and struck out six in three innings out of the bullpen.

Nezuh may not have the numbers yet, but his stuff really looks explosive.

Zach Cole hit his first home run of the season to help give the FCL Astros their first win of the season. Cole's two-run shot brought in the only runs of the game.

Franklin Gil allowed one hit, walked one, and struck out eight in five innings. Enrique Coronel and Jose Luis Varela finished with two scoreless innings apiece; Coronel struck out four in a perfect outing while Varela walked two and struck out two.

Gil and Coronel are just guys, but Varela had a pretty loud pro debut last season, going 5-1 with a save and a 2.49 ERA in 13 appearances (5 starts, 47 total IP). Varela struck out 71 and allowed opposing batters to hit just .166 against him.

Luis Baez went 4-5 with a couple of doubles, one of which drove in a run, and two RBI singles in Asheville's 6-4 win over Winston-Salem.

Baez and Williams are carrying that offense. Only 2 guys hitting worth anything.

So went to see Sugar Land, yesterday.

Overall a great fan experience for watching a baseball game without caring about anything besides that game (e.g., standings). Weather probably helped. Space Cowboys won.

Only downside was that I didn't really see any flashes of plus MLB skills other than from a Dodger reliever that was bringing some heat. One game so not disappointed in that. Colton Gordon was all over the place early in the game. Amazed that he only had a couple of walks.

Baserunning. Sweet Jesus was it bad. 3-4 guys picked off from both teams combined though one play resulted in runner getting an extra base because IFs didn't know how to throw and catch the ball. The Dodgers had a guy hit a grounder that the SS airmailed over the 1B, he took a step going for second before deciding to then walk back to first. 1B tagged him, but ump called him safe. Minor league umpiring. Ughh.

On a side note. They were using the ball, strike challenge system. There were about 5 calls challenged. Only 2-3 were successful ( I wasn't counting). If the goal of using the an automated strike zone is to get calls right, I'd say it was a failure as even MLB umps usually make at least 7-8 mistakes. If the goal was to keep batters and pitchers from getting snippy with home plate ump, it was a success yesterday. Also, the "Blue, you suck donkeyballs" was replaced with "challenge that shittt!" from fans.

Blubaugh and Bloss need to be brought up to replace Arrighetti and Brown in the rotation. Brown should be kept in the bullpen.
