Honestly. . . I think Presti has amazing eye for Talent
    but
I think overall OKC has a good talent for player development
Put a poor player in a good situation . .. .they become better - Look at Dort . . .. . basically their version of TATE
Put a good player in a bad situation .. . and they look pedestrian

Morey's best era was early when he was making contract and analytics-oriented transactions that other teams didn't understand: Scola for trash, Kevin Martin for McGrady's corpse, Lowry for cheap, Harden for Martin and Lowry, PatBev for free. Now everybody does this, so he doesn't have an edge. He was never particularly special in drafting or player development.

Morey rarely dealt first round picks, like massive first round picks and second round picks.

Nowadays picks are the new Currency.

Morey is a dinosaur......so to speak.

3 of those starters are not great scorers

    PJ Washington
Derrick Jones jr. ...... even worse
Gafford can be stopped when not involved in the Pick and Roll.

Kidd can be stopped on the bench.

Yea, agree. Though, in my opinion there is a lot more talent parity than there used to be. There are a few megastars, and then there are way more players now who check the boxes -- athletic, can hit a 3, and can make decent decisions on the court. It is really difficult to develop a solid player into a star, but it happens occasionally. We have some players in that gray zone, which is exciting. But non-lottery picks very rarely become stars, and then lottery picks are almost never available. So even though picks have value, there is huge variation in whether they amount to anything beyond what you would get from a well-coached replacement player, like all those Miami guys.

Luka has taken the most 3s of any player in the entire playoffs and he’s shooting a whopping 22.7% on them. Only Banchero has more total turnovers.

Not good for their hopes in this series.

Or cut back on his salary to build up a better team that has more than 2 scorers.

This heliocentric stuff has gone out of the door ......

It worked for Real Madrid because they had the best supporting cast and Euro salaries are pretty low.

This is the correct view IMO, though Chet definitely has a very high ceiling if he stays healthy. He needs to gradually gain ~7-8 lbs/year.

Did Lively just make the same screen that Turner did that the refs called an illegal screen and Pacers lost during game 1? But here it was clean?
