Amazing and beautiful. Very comic book/serial type movie, I could see a sequel or off shoots of the movie.

The whole movie has this amazing 30's and 40's feel especially the dull glow of the film itself. It's like hazey and old timey.

If you like comic books, fanciful creatures, robots, sci-fi, Jude Law, Gwyneth Paltrow or Angelina Jolie (hoochie mama) then go see this flick. In my opinion it's worth your money.

And you do know the whole movie digital. The actors, some props and costumes are real, but everything else is digital and it's amazing.

I absolutely love, love, love contemporary movies that try to recreate the feel of the 30's and 40's (i.e. Hudsucker Proxy and Chicago). I'm not wild about gigantic robots, but I'll probably check this movie out none the less.

I hate movie titles with more than five syllables in them.

Personally I can't stand movie titles with less than one syllable.

I guess you hated "Pi", then.

What are you talking about? What about " ", and don't forget " ". And the most egregious offender of all, "".

I don't know if I will get to watch this, but on they've been talking about it a lot on The Screen Savers on G4TechTV. One of the hosts got to watch it a few days ago and thought it was great, even though he thought it would suck after watching the previews. I got that impression as well watching the previews so I guess there is a chance I'd like it as well.

It is awesome how they made so much of the movie with computers. That was most of the reasons why TSS was talking about it and they even showed a little bit of how it worked. It may be something you don't even think about, but if you do, it is amazing, especially if it is even hard to notice.

Dude, "Pi" was a cinematic masterpiece. One of my all-time faves.

I can't wait to see it, rockHEAD. I've been ignoring the reviews. Hell, Blade Runner, considered by many to be the greatest SF movie ever made (certainly by this replicant!), got mixed reviews when it came out. I'm going to see it this weekend.

    Thanks for the feedback!

The movie looks so-so to me. I think they've done a poor job marketing (or over-marketing) it. But a lot of reviews are coming back positive, so I'll probably end up seeing it.

Pi... Doesn't the star look a little like Jeff Van Gundy?

    How do I post pics?

I think the writer played a little too much Crimson Skies.

I saw Gwyneth on the Daily Show last night and even though she was there to plug the movie, she came off as sincere in her pride of it. The clip they showed looked really cool.

BTW, I LOVE the Daily Show. Some of the best (if not the best) humor on tv these days.

Mixed reviews? The movie, so far, has a 78% fresh rating from Rottentomatoes.com (with 89 reviews counted), including a 79% "Cream of the Crop" rating. That's pretty good.

I personally can't wait to see this movie.

I thought the sequal to Pi was outstanding. "e" and then part three "i" was not near as good.

I saw it earlier tonight and thought it was ok. I like the effect of making it look like a movie from the 30-40's, but I just never was able to get into it that much. They tried to make some good one-liners that never made anyone in the theater laugh and the action scenes were just hard to get excited about. I give it a 5 out of 10.

PS. Saw RE II last weekend and thought it was a blast!
