At this point . .. Shai is too . . passive. . . . I was gonna say soft but that has the wrong connotation
He doesn't seem as demonstrative and outspoken
The NBA Likes Heels and Heros
Shai is a great player but doesn't stand out in the personality department
He is like a more emotional Kawhi

He is the Guard version of Duncan and Nowitzki. Intuitive.

Two players that are either quiet or Nowitzki just different than the normal star.

Currently Shai, long term Ant. But I could be wrong, either is a great pick.

If Ant keeps his head screwed on and doesn't get too cute and full of himself, he definitely has the higher upside.

Shai seems so grounded and non-promotional, it's almost like he doesn't fit today's NBA culture.

Shai is more efficient and more versatile. It makes it a little easier building around him. He's probably the easiest star to build around because he can play 1-3 on offense and defense.

But also, Shai is 3 years older. Three years ago Shai wasn't Shai yet. So, if Ant continues to grow at that rate, he's the better prospect.

But, I probably would compare Shai more with Luka that's more his peer based on place in their careers, role, and expectations. They're playmakers, guys you can give the ball to for long stretches and they run the offense. They're not really true leaders, not yet at least. They rely on the coach to galvanize the team.

Ant is a play finisher. He's a natural leader of men. But, he's not a PG. And, there's really no one like him under 35.
