Chas is so faking his hamstring injury. I hope he and Crane can come to a truce, and someone please get the man some pudding!!

13-6 is what we need over the next 3 weeks leading up to Memorial day. 3 @ yanks, 3 @ Det, home: 4 A's, 3 Brewers, 3 Angels, Road- 3 with A's. if we go 10-9 or 9-10 or something like that we are in serious trouble headed into memorial day and I'm going to mash down the panic button.
I agree with your premise that it's starting to get late and this is the stretch that they need to start a run toward 500. I would like to see 13-6, and I think 11-8 is the minimum to keep hope alive. 5 of 9 vs NYY, Det, and Mil 8 of 10 vs Oak and LAA Should be very doable. 4 and 7 should be automatic.
11-8 outs is 7 games under 500 on Memorial Day. Yikes. Think we need to do better. I wouldn’t burn it down over 11-8 but my finger would definitely be tapping the panic button.
I think we are in agreement here. As I said, to me that's bare minimum to avoid the panic button. I hope they go 14-5 so we can complain about them being 1 game under 500
The best way to not panic is to accept reality and don't do anything stupid like sign Woody Williams. Just calmly trade Framber, Bregman, and Chas.
I bet the Dusty haters would take him back in.....if it meant we didn't have to watch this CRAP every night.
I said I will wait until Memorial Day. There are logical reasons to do so. I’m pretty close to throwing in the towel right now though.
The one thing I have realized over the last few weeks is....... I can become a casual fan. I used to panic when the Astros played the Yankees and I can't watch in NY because I do not get YES network on You Tube TV, and my MLB extra innings is blacked out, like the TBS broadcast last night. I used to have to go to a bar to watch and did often. But last night I spent the evening with my wife without baseball. A couple of grilled tenderloin filets on the back patio and a couple of IPA's with my Spotify mix working. Admittingly, I did check the scores when push notifications came on my phone, but I realize there is a whole world out there I was missing in order to catch as many games as I could. It's like rehab, but from the Astros instead of a drug or alcohol. Different but it's still a part of your Pavlovian routine. I'm not checking out, but I'm not canceling any dinner reservations to be home to watch. I am saving my fanatism for the TEXANS
