I haven't checked the schedule - do we get to play any teams that are under 500 this year besides the rockies?

I don't mind this.

Diaz has been scuffing so can use a 2nd day off.

I'd like to see Bregman further down but he has to work out of this or else this team is in trouble.

I'm surprised Loperfido is on the bench and Meyers is starting vs a RHSP. I will be pissed if he starts instead of Meyers tomorrow vs Rodon.

 

Yanks have humiliated the Astros in the last 2 series, both at home. Clean sweeps.

 

This says a lot about Diaz's game calling. Maybe Dusty knew something he didn't want the fans to know...

 

Agreed 100%. Bregman should have the day off. Back to back days would be good for him.

 

It's interesting that Meyers is starting a game JV is pitching.

 

The lineup still is odd, but at least the personal CF thing is not happening tonight.
I think Espada is chasing it/gripping/losing it if you want to know the truth- he needs to just run the same damn lineup out there (our best one) like 10 days in a row and see what happens instead of changing things up every damn day.

Altuve/Yordan/Diaz/Tucker/Pena/Bregman/Singleton/Chas/Meyers.

With Caratini replacing Diaz every 5th day or so. Do that 2 times through the rotation and see what happens. There is not a subpar bat in that lineup (I refuse to call Bregman a subpar bat over a 6 week sample size at 30 years old). And yes I know Chas is on the shelf. I assume he's due back any minute now from how they were talking about it the other day.

 

I read that Chas is hitting but not yet ready for a rehab stint, which makes me think he's at least a week away.
