No, no, that’s not true. Green can play lockdown one-on-one defense, when he wants to. I’ve seen it even in the Silas years from time to time. I was specifically talking about screen navigation, which used to be pathetic under Silas. Now, under Ime he still doesn’t do what ANT does - bump and fight through the screen - but he’s using his foot speed and more anticipation to evade the screen. He’s figuring out a way to protect his nail-polish that is also good for the defense.
I don’t think Jalen needs to be like Edwards, as long as The Rockets build around this young core team, let them develop another year or two, and continue to add vet defenders, and shooters, they may have a shot.
Sorry, are you under the impression that having millions of dollars makes your life harder? Go ask the typical Dad how much easier he'd have it with a few mil in the bank. You're literally living in bizarro world you people.
Nah, this just makes all of y'all look judgemental, has no real negative bearing on Green for anybody who doesn't think they're the morality police. Plenty of celebrities with tons of kids and baby mamas living well, succeeding more than any of us fans financially and living way more fulfilled lives than we do. But sure, your moral outrage makes you an expert on everybody else's life, right? That's why you support spousal abusers and ride or die for them, your moral infallibility? Please.
I am under the impression that having millions of dollars and a public persona makes it harder to concentrate on your work and be a good parent.
For Green to reach his potential, he'll need to be obsessed with getting better every day, winning and making his team better like Kobe, MJ, etc. had mentally. And he'd need to have explosive strength and endurance as they developed at 200 - 215 lbs of lean, effective muscle. That strength along with mentality separates players in the postseason, as skill and physical gifts many players have at that level. Beyond personal things, the lifestyle, and pushing out distractions, you gotta have the heart to evolve every day to win the marathon. If it was easy everyone would do it, I hope he maximizes his potential.
Yeah you're right, all that masses of free time, no worries about bills and the entire summer off makes it so much harder than the rest of us...
Can Green become Edward's? Can Sengun become Jokic? Can Jabari become Garnett? Can Tari become Leonard? What's next.... Can Cam become Jordan??? Why not just let them become themselves... Enjoy the ride.
All Green has to do is shoot better. That's the bottom line. He needs more games where he shoots league average or above (.365) from 3 - the team won those games 64% of the time. And less games where he shoots .333 or worse ....
Average Joes do not run into Drayas.....at least I hope so. At least he could have run into Kim Kardashian and gone after her billion.
