I know there are folks that like to bag on Jokic's physique but he really does look winded and out of shape against this team. Where did all the T-Wolves fans come from I have never come across a fan of that team in my life.
In this 7 vs. 5 matchup (excluding refs), the 7 have won twice. In addition to being out-of-whack and sluggish, the Nuggets just don't have enough rotation players to compete with the T-Wolves.
This is absolutely shocking, and I had Minnesota losing to the Suns in round 1 I mean they haven’t lost a game yet, I did not see this coming. Denver in the previous round looked like they were just toying with The Lakers, giving them hope only to continue to dominate them, now they look like a bus smacked them in the face. This is a surprising NBA season where you see teams just coming out of nowhere, like Minnesota, OKC, or the Knicks. One of them may even win it all with their latest new teams. This reminds me of the time when the Orlando Magic went to the NBA finals in ‘95 out of nowhere, and everyone said they shouldn't be here yet. Usually the NBA is a league where a team makes baby steps, and mistakes, and climb and climb, until they eventually win it all. Just like Denver who won it last year for the first time, but they kept on trying and trying until they finally did it with Jokic. This truly is a league of new young talent, as the older vets continue to drop and fade away such as Curry, Durant, Lebron, and Harden.
Kudos to Minnesota for making it work around Gobert and KAT......that seemed not to be working from the beginning.
The TNT guys were talking about how weak the Nuggets bench is last week. but it looks worse than that against Minnesota.
