The alternative is that thousands and thousands more innocent Palestinians will continue to be indoctrinated with hate and will be ruled by Nazi-like Islamists for many years to come, and that thousands more innocent Israelis will be murdered. Hamas expressly stated that this is what they will do. War is horrible, but the Islamo-fascist regime in Gaza started this war, and they will never stop until they are removed from power. It's a tragic dilemma to be in, but Hamas created it. All you can do is what the IDF has been doing - trying to warn civilians while fighting the militants.
