The team in its current incarnation isn't going to do anything. They aren't good. Period. I'm pretty sure it will get better, but then again it might not. They're playing a lot of really bad baseball. So much underachieving. It's stunning actually. I think they will improve, but I'm not sure of anything with this group.

I do not trust Brown and Bagwell with rebuilding this team. Crane got the big head, let the type of guys who built this thing leave, and let Bagwell gain too much influence on the organization. Browns a weak GM, who fumbled this offseason horribly. Espada is looking like a fail, but honestly if the bullpen did their job they’d have 20 wins right now. The run was going to end at some point, but with even mediocre leadership the run could have lasted until 2026-27.

put Pressly back in the closer spot. He was great there and bullpen has been out of sync. Make Hader earn it

 

I get it. But Pressly and Hader are our 8th and 9th guy until you tell them otherwise. 1 run lead heading into the 8th and both didn’t pitch yesterday. Make no sense going with Abreu in that situation. I hope someone asked Espada and like to hear his explanation on going with Abreu instead of Pressly.

Time to shuffle the deck and deal some new cards. I have been in two administrative situations. If my departments had performed like the current Astros changes would have been made. I know it is pro baseball, not business or government, but....Mediocrity is contagious and it spreads rapidly.
