I was right to feel the same with Bregman batting with RISP and one out as Maldy in the same situation. Science confirms.
They need it. Verlander needs 5 full days now and it should also keep the pitch counts low on Framber and Javier. Ronel is in his 1st full season of starting at the MLB level with his career high in starts being 13 and innings 88.
The relationship between Espada and Brown isn’t like Baker and Brown. If Brown tells Espada to do something- he will do it. They work well together and like each other off the field as well… and Espada doesn’t have the pull with Crane that Baker did.
twins won 12 games in a row. something i was hoping the astros would do after a horrendous start. oh well.
Thank goodness. Maybe use that cash to lower margarita prices when the dumpster fire trio enter the game.
Disclaimer: couldn't find HBP data (affects WHIP)* Hader has only struggled when pitching b2b days and there's only been ~5 bad games total amongst the trio. Edit* HBP doesn't affect WHIP .
They can barely find enough guys for a 4 man rotation. A six man will be challenging. I think they should toy with an opener for Brown and for France. Maybe Dubin and/or Martinez.
i honestly have no idea what Yordan and Bregman is doing. whatever it is, it ain't working. they're diggin the hole deepuh and deepuh
This season is over, trade what we can to start the rebuild or we are looking at the Crane full-circle with another long stretch of shitty play, except baseball has fixed the tanking issues in the draft.
Smart teams sign big time free agents in the off season and trade them for minor leaguers if things don't pan out. Padres and Mets have both done that recently and they may both come out on top with talent. We seriously need to consider trading Hader, Bregman and Tucker for some young talent. Bregman is gone after this lost season, Hader is lost and 1 more year of Tucker is not worth the pain.
