We are carefully positioned at this point in the season to control our own destiny. This happened in '17 and '22 too.
Must win for Astros today if we are going to take baby steps to get back into the playoff run over a long season. Already played 33 games… Brown has to step up and gives us 5 solid innings.
We roughed up Miller last game but he dominated twice in 2023 -- plus he's improved this season. Hunter needs to drop his sack and not suck again. Would prefer avoiding Hader and Pressly, but at least it's not b2b days. Maybe Montero and Abreu cover two innings 7th-9th, if the offense can muster a lead. Have a 5-run lead so everything is easier !!
Cause he didn’t play you idiot Well actually I don’t think you are an idiot, more a fool with an agenda
Diaz had one plate appearance in 12 days for game two, and went 14 days between starts. I'm sure it was his .960 September OPS that led to his justified mothballing. Dusty never wanted to play him, so when it mattered he made sure he didn't
It's likely the best offense we can play against a RHP, with a (theoretically) GB pitcher going. What exactly is so terrible about it? Moving Bregman down isn't gonna make anybody else hit.
Its just stubborn and unwise to keep putting your worst hitter in the lineup at the cleanup spot. Maybe moving Bregs down wont make others hit more, but it could enable some other guy a better chance at an RBI opportunity.
Am I crazy for thinking Framber did fine (but should't have come back to start the 6th)? Offense was an absolute no-show
