I don't get it. With his size, why wouldn't he play this position? Is he too frail and would get pushed around?

Plus, if he does do this, then it would make sense to go after Cuttino Mobley in a year to play SG.

    Anyway, any thoughts?

i think he plays sg because he is very quick, and he creates mismatches every game, because of his height. And he is very good in playing from the outside, and SF mostly post up alot more.
(ofcourse it depents opn the type of SF). Why would you want him to play SF?
I do not think that Mobley wants to play for us, but i do not know him:D

It's easier for him to influence the game from the back court plus the reasons arno_ed mentions.

You design your team around your best players, not vice versa.

i assumed tmac and jj would be interchangeable at the 2 and the 3 depending on the competition. is this an incorrect assumption?

VG has said that the 2 and 3 play pretty much the same role in his offense.

It doesnt matter what you call Tmac. He will be guarded by the other team's best perimeter defender. He will guard the other team's best perimeter threat. Not rocket science.

All that matters is that TM can play BOTH SG or SF if need be. It's just depends on how JVG sets the roster; match-ups.

It nice to have a 6'8" G/F! It gives our coach lots of flexibility. JJ can play the 2 or 3, as well.

"Taller, faster player?" Let us know who that "taller faster player" is. So we can keep an eye on him.

the only guy i've heard of that's given t-mac troubles is garnett. i don't think garnett is faster, but he is very quick/fast considering he's about 7 ft.

I'd love it if they put Garnett on T - Mac, just imagine what Yao will do on the inside at that point

Edit: Crap. I just realized that this fella isn't taller than T-Mac. He's got no shot of containing the Mcdaddy.

also a sf is position u play off of kinda like a pg.hes a swing if he plays the sf .he could score more if he stays at sgf however during the season and for matchup reasons he and jackson would switch.a pg and sf are positons u usually feed most of the offense.when francis wasa here he could score not create as much for his team or u could lose some of his scoring and distribute the ball more cause hes coming down the court and feeding the ball to someone else to score.a sf is a swing postion that also u play off of hes lookin to swing to the open man and then shoot it if hes wide open.if he tries to create and lookin to score most of the time at sf postion it would be hard to set up other guys.if hes in the sg position hes job is someone to feed the ball and to score from there.i hope i make sense and not sound stupid.he can play both if needed but to to utilize tmac the best to his scoring ability keep him sg.
