Damn, I feel this too. I just don't want another Texas team winning except Rockets. But I agree, I don't want OKC winning a chip before our young squad.
Wanting the Mavs to lose should override any other emotion you have about basketball. (Except wanting the Lakers and the current Clippers to lose).
Go Mavs!! Luka carried my fantasy team the last two years so I love him. Also have a $2 bet on the Mavs to win it all that could turn into $52. Hahaha
I always root against the Mavs because it's Dallas but also for the off chance Luka grows tired of losing in the playoffs and asks out of Dallas.
Chet = Durant lite JDub = Strong as Harden and solid as Khris Middleton. SGA = a skinny Jordan lite Giddey = Kangaroo thirsting for young gals, Swiss Army Knife who cannot shoot well. Dort is Dort - great defender who has some offensive game, a better Dillon Brooks One of the most innovative benches in the league with an innovative Coach.
Giddey plays between SGA and J-Dub as a SG. He isn't great at any one thing but isn't terrible at anything either. To his credit, he doesn't play with an ego and tries to stay within his limits. When the Mavs decide to not guard him down the stretch and give him uncontested stationary 3-pointers, Giddey needs to kill the Mavs like he did the Pelicans.
Unless OKC becomes the next GSW in a couple of years, I'm not rooting for Dallas over them no matter how far ahead their FO and players are compared to the Rockets and hope Cuban never wins another ring.
Giddey has his spots like the Nola arena or Madison Square Garden but he is not great in other places..... He also has this Triple double in 1 out of 3 or 4 games. The OKC Thunder are young, healthy and rested......have HC advantage.
