People are looking at Edey as a finished product which he's not. Nobody saw Embiid shooting 3s in college. Edey shooting 70% at the line tells me he doesn't always have to play on the blocks. He's a better foot athlete than given credit for. He was a great touch around the rim. He can develop a 3pt shot because he's already shooting from 15 ft consistently. Imo, he improves your defense immensely with his size. Alot of posters saying what he can't do, but his skill level supercede that. To me, this team needs to trade some players and jump into the OKC window in terms of fit. I also think he will bring a level of maturity and toughness to the team. He's going to force dbl teams and alter shots from the jump. We see how in the playoffs the games have slowed alot. I can see how Edey and Segun can co-exist alot better than having Green out there. The longer they try to force the Green-Sengun match. The further they will continue to fall behind the other young and upcoming teams.

What if Alperen Sengun grows another 3 inches. Alperen Sengun is still growing and Jabari Smith is still growing

I think you’re right. Edey reminds me of you running that Sinches offense. Not pretty but effective. Edey might be faster tho.

Sign me up! Dude looks like Yao out there. If he's your big off the bench he's gonna punish some second units!

    Bench Brigade:

    PG - Holiday
    SG - Whitmore
    SF - Thompson
    PF - Eason
    ..C - Edey

    Shoot. Thats solid.

That bench makes us an instant contender. Happy to see some on this site seeing the light. Edey would be a difference maker just like Ming and we would become an instant contender. He’s definitely worth the risk.

Chuck Hayes would wipe the floor with Zach Edey.

Rockets need a Jaden McDaniels Type to take over Small Forward for Dillon Brooks. Dillon injury got him slow. Tari Eason coming back from Injury. Need Depth.

Rockets Needs Defensive Small Forward, Laterally Quick, Height, Wingspan.

Center - Zach Edey as a 2nd Round Pick makes sense.

Sarr and Risacher are both French and out of reach.

After that Salaun, Yves Missi from Cameroon and Tristan Da Silva from Germany according to Tankathon.

Have to yet read the report.

Agree that Dillon is an issue. Here’s how you remove the issue:
    Adams
    Sengun
    Jabrari
    Green
    FVV
    Bench:
    Edey
    Eason
    Brooks
    Cam
    Thompson
    11-12:
    Jock
    Holiday
My friends that is a legit contender with no weaknesses whatsoever.

That draft also has us taking Terrence Shannon at 9 when guys like Stephon Castle, Donovan Clingan, Ja'Kobe Walter, Nikola Topic and Tyler Smith are still on the board. That's pretty wild. Not only have I not seen him that high on draft boards - that dude has been accused of rape.

My first question for those who want Edey is, is he better than Sengun? Cuz if not I dont want him.

We got Steven Adams and Jock Landale as Sengun backup. Those 2 are already big boys and also a lot stronger and better than Edey at this point of their careers. Put them vs college kids and make them the offensive focus Adams and Landale will go off for 40 and 20 a night.

It makes zero sense to waste our lotto pick on the 3 backup C lol wtf.

Why you can't play them together? Edey is better than Jabari

That Jabrari is a skinny toothpick that gets manhandled down by the basket against bigger stronger players. Not gonna happen with Edey.
