I’ve been to a lot of beaches and my experience at all of them is almost exactly the same. It’s sand and water. Galveston is perfectly fine and underrated.

I'm still waiting on my burger I ordered there in 2019.

Cafe Michael Burger was the place to go, for years and years.

The color of the water literally has no effect on my experience at the beach.

We've had this conversation before...where is my surfer boys? @KingCheetah @that other guy

There's a bunch of green water, you just have to know when to hit it. Fishing is good, surfing is bad, and vice-versa.

La King’s rocky road ice cream yessirrrrrr :)

Did a red light district historical tour there a couple of years ago…fascinating. The history of that island is just unrivaled in Texas, imo

I don't take advantage of Galveston as much as I did when I was younger, now the traffic sucks and it's just far enough where it's too much for a day trip....................now get off my lawn :D

ps - the rates at the Galvez are a joke anymore but man the Sunday brunch used to be all that and a bag a chips

The rates at all of the hotels are pretty crazy.

Yeah it was good. Sold though.

Spot was good when I lived there back in the early 00s for happy hour. It’s a massive tourist spot now and I don’t drink enough to go to a happy hour so idk.

There’s a smash-burger place I discovered on the East End off broadway on Avenue K called Mac-ies that has good burgers, local brewery beer on tap and great vibes.

Of course there’s Yagas but the burgers aren’t as good as they used to be. The old manager (friend of mine) left about 8 years ago and the food went downhill.

On the strand my kids love Shark Shack- good burgers and food, good atmosphere.

Shrimp N Stuff is great for fried shrimp poboys.

I stay away from the seawall- prices are loco.

I know it's gone, but that was our post-beach stop for grub on the way back to Houston when we weren't spending the night.
